Crow's Nest Wilderness Retreat Center
Crow's Nest is a wilderness retreat and education center in the woodlands surrounding Dowagiac, in Southwestern Michigan. It is a 4 acre secluded retreat set within a 648 acre forest, and surrounded by various ponds, marshes, and lakes.
It is currently being developed but now offers a guest cabin, a larger conference building, and various camp sites, including an open air ceremony area with sweat lodge, large community fire pit, and picnic facilities, and hiking trails and meditation sites.
The purpose of Crow's Nest Retreat Center in SW Michigan is to offer space for heart-cenetered and earth-honoring retreats and workshops, and is especially available to my client's and students who are doing intensive study or personal work in the integration of psychological and spiritual resources. Individuals who are engaged in the deep process of JHF/GZ trauma resolution may wish to do intensive work with me at Crow's Nest for several days.
We are offering training workshops in shamanic counseling and coaching based in the 'Little Psychology of the Heart', an integral model that incorporates the resources of Jungian psychology, transpersonal/spiritual resources, focusing skills, embodiment and attunement to nature in forging a set of practices and ways of living to bring more freedom, delight, and deep satisfaction in living, and resourcefulness for handling difficult problems and circumstances.
Crow's Nest is also used as a base camp for the annual summer wilderness Dream Quest, and Wounded Healer Summer School, which takes place on South Manitou Island, normal in early August.
